Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I know when it’s time to see a therapist?
If you’re looking or questioning that is your answer. By coming to a session you are not committed. Come in and see if it’s the right time for you, discuss your questions and concerns, and sense your comfort level.
  • How long will I be in therapy?
There is no set time to how long therapy last. Therapy is based on each person’s needs and goals. This is a conversation that will occur between the client and therapist during sessions.
  • How do I set up an appointment?
Call me today at 972-372-9811 or email at katie@sanderscounseling.com.
  • Do you take insurance?
I am out-of-network with insurance companies, which means that I do not have a contract with any insurance company. Your payments may potentially go towards your deductible and be reimbursed. I will give you the necessary paperwork to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
  • What does private pay mean?
If you do not have out-of-network insurance coverage, or you are choosing not to utilize your out-of-network insurance benefits, then you would pay yourself which is called out of pocket. Some people choose not to use their insurance to avoid having a diagnosis. When you choose to use insurance there must be a diagnosis sent to the insurance company. For further information this can be discussed in session or by phone.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
Cash, Check, and Credit Card (all types).
  • How long are sessions?
A therapeutic hour is 50-55 minutes.
